AACSB

One acronym you might hear a lot of when looking through MBA programs is AACSB. AACSB stands for Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The AACSB accredits business schools on the overall quality of the education they provide.

As a student, attending an AACSB accredited school ensures that you are going to business school that provides a great education, and also gives you the ability to transfer to another AACSB accredited school and have your previous work recognized.

AACSB is the general standard for business school accreditation in North America. Schools are required to undergo an audit every 5 years to ensure that they are maintaining the education standards set forth by the AACSB.

In addition to AACSB you may also see EQUIS and AMBA, which are two other international MBA accrediting agencies.
