Why do your MBA in Canada?

For those of you who are already familiar with Canada, whether living there or not, the benefits of doing an MBA in Canada are fairly obvious. Canada is a large multicultural nation, with a very strong economy, solid financial institutions, a very high quality of life, and one of the top education systems in the world. Canada’s GDP has been growing at a steady rate over the last number of years, and the country is home to not only a strong technology and knowledge based sector, but an abundance of natural resources that are in demand through out the world.

Canada is home to 7 business schools that are consistently listed in the Financial Times Top 100 MBA programs (although only 5 made the cut for 2007) which places Canada third behind the United States and the United Kingdom in terms of programs represented on the list. The lower cost of living in Canada is an appealing factor relative to both the US and UK as a destination for you MBA.

Most MBA schools in Canada are English, however some schools in Quebec are based in French. Canada is a very friendly and open country when it comes to allowing foreign students into the country to complete their studies. In fact, more than 130,000 students come to Canada every year to study. Rules are in place to allow students to work in the country for a number of years after their degree, although a number of students seek permanent residency or citizenship in Canada while they are also studying in the county.

The number of schools offering MBA programs and the size and diversity of the country mean that no matter what your area of specialization, you’ll be able to find at least one school in Canada that is able to help you realize your goals.
